Briget Jones Diary 2: Edge of the reason

Author: Helen Fielding
Worms: 2 and 1/2 out of 5

I liked it. It’s a personal diary of a silly, or rather not so smart girl, Bridget. The film is slightly different from the movie and I think both were funny in there own ways. She pens her thoughts as they come when she gets trapped in a jail in some third world country and even when she is gliding from heights on a office mission.
In short, its tale of imperfect girl who is in love with a perfect man and this time for a change he is in love with her too, yet she is found struggling to keep up. She keeps defending her love against sometimes vile beauties and some times against her own faulty self.
Despite all this I don’t think you can say it’s a love story.
But mind you, it seems more likeable for female readers than for the male readers. For them it’s worth just 2 worms.
